This is one of the most important projects that I've developed during my master program. It is a proposal for an entire old complex of historical buildings in the middle of Bucharest, Romania and I wanted to use this site because it has an important meaning for our history. And from my point of view, a project, has a bigger impact if it has a culture value and this site represents the oldest princely court, it was build by Vlad Tepes in 1458/1459. Choosing one of the best romanian wines and in this ruins I created a bar that is representing the best characteristics of my country.
For the facade and the front courtyard I proposed a small intervention that resembles the original facade and more green areas which is lighted during the night. The configuration of the space inside are grouped in four areas: orange - the central bar; yellow- the private rooms; red-the storage room; blue- the restrooms; At the entrace of the building we have the reception and an elegant small area for waiting. To create a connection between the reception and the space bellow I chose to use a material-glass. To keep the same line, the entrance, the stairs that are taking you bellow and the bar are wrapped in glass. The shapesand the colors that I used resembles with the motion, the reflections and the color of the romanian wine. Arriving downstairs you are welcomed in a big common area, in front you have the bar view and to the right you have the storage room. Hundreds of bottles of wine are waiting to be opened. In the private room you can experience a warm and elegant moment.
